We left the Hotel on [Thursday, 18 September] about 8 a.m. for Union Station by Taxi to go to New York.. Union Station is very impressive.

Arrived safely in Penn Station and asked directions to our hotel. A Security Guard kindly took us down the road and pointed out where our hotel was. Hotel bedroom small but have fridge and tea and coffee facilities.. Our Hotel Room is on the 16th floor facing 7th Avenue Fashion Road, we have ear plugs that we can use if the noise is too great.

Lots of people sitting on seats in Time Square taking in the views of Billboards and Neon Lights.
Decided to queue or tickets for a show (half price). Queue extremely long 50 minutes wait to the window and then not knowing whether the show we wish to go to would be available. Bill was not too keen to queue but the show was worth it.

We got tickets for Motown the Musical ($75.00 US a ticket). Then walked back to hotel to get ready. Then another 25 minute fast walk for a quick shower and then back to Time Square for the show.
The show was at 7.30 p.m. so time for a quick meal at McDonalds. Good seats and theatre nearly full.
The show went for about 2 half hours, and was very slick and professional. Starred Diane Ross and the Supremes, Jackson Five, among others. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show and would put it on one of the top of shows that we have seen.
Left Theatre and proceeded to walk back to our hotel in amongst a lot of people all leaving from their shows as well, and taking photos.
