On [Wednesday 17 September] left hotel early this morning to catch shuttle to Union Station for commencement on the Yellow Line.

Proceeded on Yellow until it joined Green Line and travelled to Washington Zoo where we spent over an hour saw some Panda's, elephants etc.

Travelled on to the Washington Cathedral, passed Embassy Row and then continued to Padomac Wharf for 45 minute cruise.

Then waited well over an hour to catch the bus back to our Hotel.

Just been out to a Chinese Restaurant for tea and now sitting in Lobby typing this.

We have been lucky with the weather not too hot.     Yesterday was a lot hotter.    Bill has just looked up New York on the IPAD and weather is meant to be very good. 

New York here we come tomorrow.
